Introduction
The self-aligning ball bearing is recommended when alignment of the shaft and housing is difficult and the shaft may flex. It has two rows of balls and a common sphered raceway in the outer ring. Self-aligning ball bearings are available with either a cylindrical or tapered bore. And it has the lowest friction of all rolling bearings, which enables it to run cooler even at high speeds.
